The Lovingkindness of God (Part 2)

God’s lovingkindness is not shallow sentiment—it is covenant mercy, cut in blood, reaching higher than the heavens and steadier than the skies.

Related Scripture

5 Your lovingkindness, O Lord, extends to the heavens,
Your faithfulness reaches to the skies.

11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
So great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear Him.
12 As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us.

22 The Lord’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease,
For His compassions never fail.
23 They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness.

10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel
After those days, says the Lord:
I will put My laws into their minds,
And I will write them on their hearts.
And I will be their God,
And they shall be My people.

16 For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace.
17 For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.

In The Lovingkindness of God (Part 2), the preacher continues unfolding the depth of God’s hesed—His covenant mercy, steadfast love, and faithful lovingkindness toward His people. The author’s name is not identified in the transcript, but the voice is unmistakably pastoral, careful, and weighty as he explains that covenant is never casual; covenant always costs something. He reminds the listener that when God binds Himself to His people, He does not do it lightly, and He does not walk away from what He has established. Again and again, the message returns to this truth: God’s lovingkindness extends farther than we have measured and remains stronger than our failures.
