Biblical Preaching: Proclaiming God's Word with Confidence

Overview
Curriculum

Preaching is one of the highest callings entrusted to those who minister the Word of God. This course provides comprehensive training in the biblical principles and practical skills required for faithful, Christ-centered preaching. Students will explore the theology of preaching, the role of the Holy Spirit in proclamation, and the responsibility of accurately handling Scripture. Emphasis is placed on developing a deep reverence for God's Word while cultivating the character and integrity expected of those who stand before God's people.

Throughout the course, learners will be guided through the complete sermon preparation process—from interpreting biblical passages using sound hermeneutical principles to developing clear sermon outlines with meaningful illustrations and practical applications. Students will learn how to identify the central message of a passage, organize their thoughts logically, and communicate biblical truth in a way that is understandable, engaging, and relevant to contemporary audiences without compromising the authority of Scripture.

In addition to sermon preparation, this course focuses on the art of sermon delivery. Students will develop confidence in public speaking, effective communication, voice projection, body language, and audience engagement. Practical exercises and sermon workshops provide opportunities to apply what has been learned while receiving constructive feedback for continued growth. Attention is also given to preaching in various ministry settings, including worship services, Bible studies, youth gatherings, evangelistic outreaches, and special church events.

By the end of this course, students will possess the knowledge, skills, and spiritual confidence to faithfully proclaim God's Word with clarity, conviction, and compassion. Whether serving as pastors, associate ministers, Bible teachers, missionaries, or lay leaders, graduates will be equipped to prepare biblically sound sermons that exalt Christ, strengthen believers, and effectively communicate the life-transforming message of the Gospel to every generation.
